Qualifications:
Dr Sanmarie Duddridge moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2007 after completing her medical degree, internship and community service in South Africa. She completed her training as Physician and Geriatrician in Queensland.
Dr Duddridge has a special interest in cognitive impairment including mild cognitive impairment, dementia and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. She believes in patient-centered care and a holistic approach to achieve this. Dr Duddridge previously participated in research and education and was a lecturer for the School of Medicine, Sunshine Coast Clinical School prior to entering private practice. Her past research projects focused on improving the care of elderly patients within the hospital system. She is currently recruiting and assessing patients for research projects at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In recent years she has contributed to the development of various patient treatment protocols within Queensland Health, served on multiple subcommittees and received an "Award of Excellence" for engagement.
In her free time Dr Duddridge enjoys spending time with her friends and family, bush-walking, amateur photography and astronomy.
